November 2011 – Work begins to exapnd manufacturer's operation
Work is now underway on a £4m pound extension to Allam Marine’s Melton-based manufacturing operation. |
Leading Hull property company, Wykeland Group, is developing the state-of-the-art 64,000sqft factory and Head Quarters office complex adjacent to the generator maker's existing operation on Gibson Lane. The building, which is forecast to be complete in the second quarter of next year, will double Allam Marine's manufacturing capacity and increase its warehouse and distribution space by a third.

Developers of the only substantial speculative commercial development in Yorkshire this year – a 50,480 sq.ft. industrial building set in 2.7 acres at Melton West Business Park, near Hull – have reported a steady flow of enquiries from across the UK.
